The Early Life and Career of Giovani Lo Celso
Giovani, nicknamed “Monito”, was born on April 9, 1996 in Rosario, Argentina, to parents Juan Pere Lo Celso and Sandra. He grew up in the Sarmiento neighborhood of Rosario with his three siblings: two older sisters, Luciana and Agustina, and a younger brother, Francesco. Francesco follows in his brother’s footsteps. He is also a professional footballer and currently plays for his local club Rosario Central.
Celso began his youth career with Rosario Central at the age of 14 and made his league debut in 2015. The following year, he signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain. During this time, he was loaned out to Rosario Central and Real Betis before joining Real Betis permanently in 2019.
