Early life and the beginning of a career
While Moon was born in Alliance, her family later moved to Anaheim, California, where she would grow up. She is a Korean American, with Korean ancestry on her mother’s side. Her father met her mother while stationed in South Korea, indicating that he may have a military background, although details have never been repeated. She was educated in California. and she aspired to make it big in the entertainment industry.
With her model-like qualities and skills in dancing, she got her first chance as part of the Laker Girlsthe cheerleaders of the professional basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers who participate in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
She was 17 when she joined the group, the Laker Girls were among the first cheerleading groups to be formed in the NBA. She built her experience and confidence there and eventually left the group to pursue professional modeling projects. She didn’t make it big as a model, but still made good money, and it also led to her desired outcome, a chance to act.
Transition to acting
Bloodgood had her first acting project in the video game “Nuclear Strike”, in which she voiced the character Naja Hana. The game was released for PlayStation and was part of the “Strike” series that started during the time of the Sega Genesis.

In 2009, she was cast as Detective Maya Sunee in the movie “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li”, an adaptation of the video game “Street Fighter”, after the story of the character Chun-Li, portrayed in the film by Kristin Kreuk.
Terminator and falling skies
In 2009, Moon landed one of her most notable film roles when she was cast as Blair Williams in “Terminator Salvation”. The film is the fourth installment in the “Terminator” film series, starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthingto, and is set in a post-apocalyptic 2018 when Skynet’s machine network is at war with humanity, killing most of the world is in ruins because of it. The movie was meant to be a new trilogy, and despite high profits, the production company filed for bankruptcy due to problems within the production that left them out of money. The rights to the film were later sold, resulting in “Terminator Genisys” and “Terminator: Dark Fate”.
In 2011, Moon was cast as one of the lead characters on the show”Falling skyproduced by Steven Spielberg, which tells the story of a history professor who became a rebel leader after an alien invasion that sends the world into an apocalypse. The show had positive reviews for most of its four-season run, ending in 2015.
Some of Moon’s last appearances include “Code Black” in 2018 and as of 2019 a starring role in the 11th season of “NCIS: Los Angeles”. She has not appeared in any new film projects since 2012.
Private life
Moon met director Grady Hall sometime in the late 2000s, and they began a relationship that led to marriage in 2011. He is known for his work in music videos, collaborating with Katy Perry, Capital Cities and Beck. He is also known for his work in commercials, having done many high profile advertisements during his career. The couple have two children together but after seven years before divorcing in 2018, the reasons have not been made public.
